In 2017, ESG helped get the first-ever EB-1A visa (green card) in the history of the esports industry for an active player. Since then, we’ve helped many international esports organizations get visas for their players and staff to compete in esports tournaments in the United States, as well as countless individuals in the esports, content creation, and video game industries who need immigration assistance to visit, work in, or move to the United States.

Although ESG’s immigration practice focuses on the needs of the clients and industries it operates in, our of-counsel attorneys have significant experience in many areas of immigration law, including all types of work visas, green cards, student visas, and naturalization and citizenship matters.

Our day-to-day work includes:

• Obtaining P-1 visas for players, coaches, and other support staff at national and international esports organizations to compete in esports tournaments in the United States. Clients who have come to us for immigration services include Cloud9, Team Liquid, NRG, Misfits Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, FlyQuest, 100 Thieves, LOUD, KRU, T1, Team Secret, and many others.

• Obtaining O-1 visas for content creators, video game developers, esports commentators, and many others.

• Providing ongoing consultation for clients who have regular immigration questions or need regular immigration assistance.
